Frequently Asked Questions

1Who are the summer staff?
Every season, God sends us a dynamic staff from near and far to fill the summer staff positions. We spend a great deal of time interviewing, checking references and running background checks. All staff members must agree to abide by the Bingle Camp polices and procedures as well as submit a sexual propriety statement. Prior to the start of our camping programs, all staff members participate in a week long training session. Please refer to our working for Bingle web page and view the staff policies document.
2Where is Bingle Camp?
Bingle Camp is located on beautiful Harding Lake, 45 miles south of Fairbanks via the Richardson Hwy. See the web page for map. Bingle Camp is situated on 66 acres. On camp premises there is a Lodge, Chapel, two shower houses with flushing toilets, 6 log cabins that each accommodate up to 12 campers plus a wonderful waterfront. Bingle Camp has provided inter-denominational Christian camping experiences in Interior Alaska since 1953. Bingle Camp is operated by Bingle Camp Ministries and an independent Board of Directors, and is owned by the Yukon Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church, USA.
3What if our family is not affiliated with a church?
Bingle Camp welcomes campers from all backgrounds. Some of our campers do not regularly attend a particular church. Bingle Camp provides diverse programs and desires to share the love of God with every camper. It is our hope that every camper will learn from the chapel lessons and Bible lessons that our staff lead. We pray that each camper has the opportunity to learn about Jesus and has the desire to pursue a relationship with Him or to grow in their faith while at Bingle Camp.
4What is the attendance policy?
It is the policy of Bingle Camp that campers not be removed from the group by a parent or guardian during a week of camp and returned later to complete the camp. Please contact camp staff if further discussion is needed about certain circumstances.
5What is the refund policy?
All camp prices include a non-refundable deposit. Refunds (less deposit) will be given if cancellation is made at least 14 days prior to the first day of camp.
6How soon must I pay for camp?
A $50 deposit is required to reserve your spot at camp. If you choose to submit only the deposit to reserve your space at camp the balance is due on the day of Camp Registration. Upon receipt of your registration fee, you will be sent an email confirmation.
7When should I arrive at Bingle Camp?
Arrival time for camps is 4:30 – 5:30PM on Sunday. Please do not drop your campers off early as we are often working hard to get the camp ready for you!
8When should I pick my camper up?
Camp ends at 5:00PM on Friday.
